Glenn Ullmann, CDFA®

Glenn is Co-Founder and Partner of Ullmann Brown Wealth Advisors, with overall responsibility for the firm’s wealth management practice.

Glenn has over 25 years of experience in the investment industry. During this time he has educated investors and professionals throughout the country regarding the need for discipline, simplicity, optimism and the power of professional advice. Glenn believes all clients should have a written financial plan tailored to the unique needs and circumstances of the individual, family or business. His book, Landing a Smooth Retirement, discusses these issues and the role they play in successful financial outcomes.

Before founding Ullmann Brown Wealth Advisors in 2002, Glenn was the branch manager for Robert W. Baird and an advisor with Smith Barney. He was also a Pilot in the United States Air Force. He attended flight training and then flew on active duty which included missions during the Iran/Iraq War as well as a three year tour as a flight instructor.

Glenn passionately believes in education and service. He currently serves as a Board Member for the JFCS and is a member of its Finance Committee. He is also a Trustee of the Baptist Health Foundation, a Board Member for the Fanny Landwirth Foundation, and a Beaches Community Fund Member.

Glenn earned an MA from the University of Oklahoma and BS from the United States Air Force Academy. In his spare time, Glenn enjoys flying his Cirrus SR22, reading, skiing in Colorado with his family and exploring new places.

Deanna Brown, CFP®, CDFA®

Deanna is a Co-Founder and Partner at Ullmann Brown Wealth Advisors with responsibility for creating and implementing the firm’s proprietary 6 Step Process called The 360° Financial Discipline Process. She works collaboratively with CPAs, attorneys and the other professionals in the best interest and outcome for her clients. Her passion is working closely with clients in the goal-setting and financial planning phases of their lives to help them achieve long-term success.

Deanna has over twenty years of experience in the financial industry ranging from consumer credit to investments and financial planning. Prior to co-founding Ullmann Brown, Deanna worked as a Financial Advisor for Robert W. Baird and Company. She also held positions at Merrill Lynch and GE Capital.

Deanna has received many awards and distinctions during her career. In 2015, she was a Jacksonville Business Journal Money Master Honoree. In 2014, she was a national recipient of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisor “Four Under Forty” Award. She was also honored by NABCAP as an “Exemplary Advisor” for firm’s proprietary client education and customer service model.

Deanna serves on the boards of the SagePoint Management Advisory Council and on the University of North Florida Planned Giving Foundation. She is a member and mentor of Women's Giving Alliance (part of the Community Foundation for Northeast Florida). She is a former board member for the Advisor Group Women's Advisory Board. Deanna is a member of Leadership Jacksonville's class of 2018 and is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Northeast Florida.

Deanna earned her BBS with an emphasis in Banking and Finance from the University of North Florida. She obtained her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™  certification in 2006. She is also a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®. She lives in Jacksonville with her husband and their two sons.

Brian James, CPWA®

Director, Investments
Wealth Advisor

Brian is the Director of Investments and Wealth Advisor. With more than 20 years of experience in the investment management industry, Brian joined Ullmann Brown Wealth Advisors to oversee the company’s investment management process, which includes setting asset allocation, selecting investments and monitoring client portfolios. He also works closely with the firm’s other professionals to develop investment policies and strategies for clients.

Prior to joining Ullmann Brown Wealth Advisors, Brian worked for Jacksonville-based Water Street Capital where he managed trading for a multi-billion dollar portfolio and monitored portfolio positions for the firm’s Partners.He has also held positons at two Boston Based hedge funds, Oceanwood Capital Management (US) LP, K Capital Management LLP, after starting his investment career in New York City with Lehman Brothers in Equity Derivatives.

Brian earned an MBA at The University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and a BS in Finance from Miami University. He is a Certified Private Wealth Advisor® professional.

Brian lives in Ponte Vedra Beach with his wife and three children. When he is not busy with his family, Brian likes to stay active outdoors, volunteer, read and listen to live music.

Patrick Kilbane, J.D., CDFA®

Pat joined Ullmann Brown to assist, guide, and support individuals before, during, and after they begin the dissolution of marriage process. Before joining the firm, Pat routinely worked with the firm to ensure his high net worth clients made wise financial decisions at all stages of the divorce process. By leveraging Pat’s wealth of family law experience and joining forces with the team of experienced Certified Divorce Financial Analysts, Ullmann Brown clients have additional resources, confidence, and knowledge as they commence the divorce process.

Prior to joining Ullmann Brown Wealth Advisors, Pat had his own law practice in matrimonial and family law. He had previously worked as a Shareholder for the statewide law firms Gray Robinson, P.A. and Rogers Towers, P.A. in Jacksonville.

Pat is extremely active in the Jacksonville community and serves on numerous boards in the area. He has received two gubernatorial appointments – one as a Board Member to the Jacksonville Aviation Authority (Chairman of the Board 2017-2017) and the other one to the 4th Judicial Circuit Judicial Nominating Committee (on which he serves as current Chairman). Pat is also active with the Jacksonville Bar Association, he served on the JBA's Board of Governors and served as President of the Young Lawyers Section.

Pat is a member of the 35th Leadership Florida class. In 2016, Pat received a Mayoral Appointment to serve on the Navy/Notre Dame Executive Committee. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Notre Dame Alumni Club of Greater Jacksonville and served as its President. In 2017, Pat was appointed by Bishop Felipe Estevez to serve as a Trustee on the Savings and Loan Board for the Diocese of St. Augustine. Further, Pat serves on the Foundation Board for St. Vincent's Hospital.

Pat earned his JD from the University of Notre Dame and a BBA from Adrian College, from which he graduated summa cum laude. He is also a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®.

Pat and his wife (also a Notre Dame alumnus) have resided in Southeast Jacksonville for more than 12 years.  They are avid fans of all Fightin’ Irish sports teams and enjoy traveling together and spending time with their large families.

Melynda Angioi

Director, Insurance And Risk Management

Melynda is the Director of Insurance and Risk Management. She is an integral part of the wealth management planning process as a protection strategist because of her risk management knowledge. She is certified in Long Term Care and is a Life Insurance and Annuity Certified Professional. She also works with the firm’s other professionals in the investment management process, client service, operations, and compliance.

Melynda has been in the industry since 1996. Her background includes roles in operations, client service, office administration, financial planning, and risk and investment management. Before joining Ullmann Brown Wealth Advisors, Melynda held positions at other financial firms, including Ameriprise and Smith Barney.

Melynda earned a BS from Michigan State University. She is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and a member of the Financial Planning Association.

In her spare time, Melynda enjoys teaching Body Pump classes, exercising and spending time with her three children.

Carrie King

Director, Trading and Compliance

Carrie has overall responsibility for the firm’s trading and compliance programs. She works closely with the firm’s wealth advisors and implements portfolio decisions to ensure client assets are invested according to their customized investment solutions.  She is responsible for trading and rebalancing client portfolios. She also ensures compliance frameworks are in place so that the firm mitigates risk by remaining compliant with securities laws.

Carrie started her financial services career in 1995 at Water Street Capital, and has since held trading, analyst and operations roles there and at Ergon Capital.

Carrie graduated Magna Cum Laude with an MBA from University of North Florida. She also holds a BBA degree, with a major in finance and a minor in accounting, from Florida State University.

In her spare time, Carrie enjoys all outdoor activity and is active in community service in the Jacksonville area.

Emily Crowther

Client Services Manager and Registered Assistant

Emily is a Registered Assistant and the firm’s Operations Manager. She is responsible for account openings and transfers, as well as other client needs including financial or monetary transactions. She joined Ullmann Financial in 2002 and is one of the firm’s founding employees. Emily is committed to delivering service above and beyond client expectations.

Emily is well versed in financial planning and has worked in many capacities within the industry. At New England Financial, she established a practice that focused on financial planning and goal management for professional women. Subsequently, Emily specialized in investment advisory services, including annuity purchases, for the Merrill Lynch Financial Advisory Center.

Emily earned her BA from the University of Alabama.

Emily’s personal interests include books, golf, and exercise. She lives in Ponte Vedra Beach with her husband.

Francie Peters*

Marketing and Communications Manager

As the Marketing and Communications Manager at Ullmann Brown Wealth Advisors, Francie manages the firm's marketing and communications programs. Her responsibilities include marketing collateral, website development, media relations and strategically presenting the firm’s brand. She is also responsible for event planning, community involvement and company sponsorships.

Prior to joining the firm, she worked in marketing communications for several different investment firms. Most recently, she worked for Denver-based Denver Investments, where she was a member of the firm's institutional marketing team for over ten years.

Francie holds a BA in Economics from Willamette University.

She lives in Ponte Vedra Beach with her husband and two sons. In her free time she enjoys playing tennis, volunteering at her kids' schools and travelling.

Teri Blake*

Client Services Associate

As Client Services Associate, Teri’s role is to gather information and prepare material for Financial Progress Report meetings. She also provides clients with administrative and technology support. Teri’s strengths include meticulous attention to detail, organizational and computer skills, customer service and management.  She joined UBWA in May 2016.

Teri’s previous experience includes 20+ years of service as an Executive Administrator to the CEO & President of Companies such as APR Energy, Steinemann & Company and Flagship Communities.  Her experience has included implementing processes and procedures, domestic and international travel arrangements, human resources, Real Estate transactions, project development and property and office management.

She lives in Ponte Vedra Beach with her dog, Oscar, and has two children and 4 grandchildren, with whom she is very close and loves spending time.  She enjoys biking, cooking, tending to her flowers and being outdoors at home, the beach or on the Toccoa River in the mountains.

Beth Caudell*

Operations Manager

Beth oversees all office operations, from human resources to office management. She coordinates, manages and monitors office processes and helps improve productivity and efficiency throughout the firm. She also works with new clients during the onboarding process.

Beth has over 20 years of experience in executive administration, human resources, operations and project management.

She earned her BS in Business Management for Florida State College at Jacksonville. Originally from Memphis, Beth lives in Atlantic Beach with her son and aging high maintenance dogs, Elvis and Priscilla.

Beth Putnam*

Administrative Associate

Beth provides Administrative support to the Ullmann Brown Wealth Advisors' team. She manages the front office and ensures that each client is proactively contacted to schedule meetings on a regular basis. She aims to make every client feel welcomed and valued.

Prior to joining Ullmann Brown Wealth Advisors, Beth worked as an Administrator in Florida State College at Jacksonville’s Adult Education department. Her experience also includes ten years in the banking industry.

Beth graduated from The Ohio State University with a BA in Journalism. She has two children and enjoys reading, going to the beach and Buckeye football. As a breast cancer survivor, Beth is a passionate supporter of the Donna Foundation and the Pink Ribbon Girls (a charity in Cincinnati Ohio that helps women under 40 cope with breast cancer diagnosis and treatment).
